ReCommerce Navigation - How Are My Returns Being Resold?

Overview

The ReCommerce page tracks processed returns relisted on marketplaces. It provides tools to monitor relisting activities and filters to customize grid data.

Filters

Use the Smart Filter  () at the top-right of the grid to refine the data. 

  • Click the "+" to add filters.
  • Select the desired field from the dropdown menu.
  • Apply specific conditions (e.g., "is," "is not," etc.).

Notes on Smart Filters:

      • To remove filters, click the "-" icon.
      • Use Clear all to remove all configured filters except the Quick Filters.
      • Use the all/any dropdown to apply conditions.
      • Save as preset... allows you to store the current filter list as a "Smart Filter Preset." You can name the preset and later select it from the filter drawer by clicking the Select Smart Filter Preset dropdown menu.

Grid

View a list of processed returns that have been relisted on marketplaces, along with details of their resale status and performance.

Configure Grid Columns

  • Configure which columns to display by clicking the gear icon (Screenshot 2024-08-20 at 1.31.04 PM.png).
  • Rearrange columns by dragging and moving them around the grid.
  • Resize columns by clicking and dragging the lines between them.
  • Sort columns by clicking the column title once for ascending and a second time for descending.
  • Select rows by hovering over the row number and clicking the checkbox that appears, selecting multiple rows as needed.
  • Select all rows displayed in the grid by clicking the checkbox in the top left corner of the grid.
  • Search the list of columns available
  • Save preset... allows you to store the current column list as a "Column Preset." You can name the preset and later select it from the column filter screen by clicking the Column Preset dropdown menu located in the top left corner of the column list screen.

View Claim Details

To access information related to a specific claim, click the Claim ID in the grid. The following details will be available:

  • Claim Detail: Provides comprehensive information about the claim, including its status, initiation date, customer details, order data, and more.

  • Product Records: Lists the products associated with the claim.

    • Scroll horizontally within the grid to view additional details.
    • Click the action icon (three dots) next to each item in the claim grid for further options.
  • Claim Summary: Displays the financial summary of the return claim.

View Order Details

To access information related to a specific order, click the Order ID in the grid. A new browser tab will open with order details from the marketplace where the order was created.

 

View Tracking Details

To access information related to a specific shipment, click the Return shipment tracking in the grid. A new browser tab will open with tracking details from the carrier where the shipment was created.

Table 1.0 - Grid Field Descriptions
Field Description
Category Classification of the returned item from the seller's catalog.
Claim ID Unique identifier for a return claim generated by ReturnPro. Clicking this number will display a side panel with claim details, product records, and a claim summary.
Commission per item Fee charged by ReturnPro for selling each returned item (applicable only to items sold by ReturnPro on DL and goWholesale, typically 10% of the sale price excluding tax).
DL listing price Price at which the item is listed for resale through direct liquidation (DL).
Financial impact Final financial outcome for the seller after ReturnPro's involvement, reflecting the total gain or loss from the item, including all aspects such as ReCommerce and other related factors.
Full cycle time Duration of the handling for a returned item. For items on sale, this is calculated as the current date minus the check-in date. For sold items, it is calculated as the order closed date minus the check-in date.
Go wholesale listing price Price at which the returned item is listed for wholesale resale by ReturnPro.
Gross recovery %

Percentage of recovery from ReCommerce per unit, calculated as the ReCommerce price divided by the original sales price, adjusted for any refunded amount.

 

Formula: (ReCommerce sales price - Refunded amount) / Original sales price.

Gross recovery $ Amount recovered from the ReCommerce sales price, calculated as the ReCommerce sales price minus the refunded amount.
ID Unique identifier for the claim assigned by the retailer.
Inspected date Date when a unit was evaluated for its physical condition.
Marketplace Platform where the original sale of the product occurred.
Marketplace listed date Initial date when an item was first listed on a ReCommerce marketplace.
Marketplace listed on Marketplace where the returned item is listed for resale.
Marketplace sold date Date when the unit was sold on a ReCommerce marketplace.
Marketplace sold on ReCommerce marketplace platform where the unit was sold.
Net recovery %

Percentage of recovery after fees, calculated as:

(ReCommerce price - all fees) / original sales price. 

If a refund occurs, the formula becomes:

(ReCommerce sales price - Refunded amount - ReCommerce return shipping and handling fees) / original sales price.

Net recovery $ Amount recovered from the ReCommerce sale after deducting all associated fees.

If a refund occurs after resale, the calculation is:

ReCommerce sales price - Refunded amount - ReCommerce return shipping and handling fees.
Number of days listed

Total number of days a unit was listed before being sold. 

For items still on sale:

Current date - Marketplace listed date.

For sold items:

Sell date - Marketplace listed date.

If listed on multiple marketplaces, the Marketplace Listed Date refers to the earliest listing date across all platforms.

Order ID Unique identifier assigned to a sold unit.
Production status

Current status of a returned unit at a ReturnPro facility, which can include stages such as Received, In Progress, Completed, or Lost/Damaged.

 

Received:Product has been received at a ReturnPro warehouse

In Progress: Product is being processed at ReturnPro warehouse

Complete: All SC / VAS steps have been completed, and the product is ready for resale/disposition.

Lost/Damage: Product is BER (beyond economical repair) or has been lost in processing.

Sold: Product has been sold on a marketplace

 

Recommerce fees

Total amount accumulated during a specified date range, including ReCommerce Marketplace Commission, ReCommerce ReturnPro Commission, and ReCommerce Shipping Costs.

Calculated as: [ReCommerce Marketplace Commission] + [ReCommerce ReturnPro Commission] + [ReCommerce Shipping Fees].

Recommerce marketplace commission Fee charged by the marketplace (Walmart, Shopify, Amazon, etc) when an item is resold. This represents the amount the marketplace deducts to facilitate the sale of the item.
Recommerce processing fees Fees associated with handling the returned item for resale through ReCommerce.
Recommerce refund amount Amount refunded when an item is returned to ReturnPro by a ReturnPro partner after it has been resold.
Recommerce refund status Current status of the refund for a resold item that has been returned again.
Recommerce return pro commission Commission charged for handling and managing the resale of the returned product.
Recommerce return shipping and processing fee Consolidated fee charged to the seller for the return of resold items. This fee such as return shipping cost additional 3% of the ReCommerce sales price for handling total fee will be displayed to the seller, and ReturnPro requests that the seller cover these expenses.
Recommerce rma claim number Unique identifier from the internal ReturnPro system assigned to a claim related to the return of a resold item. This number is used to track and manage the return handling within the ReCommerce framework.
Recommerce rule name Identifier (ID) and title of a specific rule used to govern the sale of a unit within the ReCommerce handling.
Recommerce sale price Price at which an item was sold on a ReCommerce marketplace, excluding tax. The full ReCommerce price is the sum of the ReCommerce sale price and the ReCommerce tax.
Recommerce sale tax Tax applied to the resale of the returned item on the ReCommerce platform.
Recommerce shipping cost Expense incurred in shipping an item to the customer in the ReCommerce handling.
Return reason Specific explanation or categorization provided by the shopper for why they are requesting a product return.
Shipped date Date when the resold item was shipped to the new customer.
Shipped to Name of the customer or vendor to whom the item was shipped.
Shipped to facility Nandlinging or storage facility to which the returned item was sent.
Shipping carrier ReturnPro carrier that shipped the unit to the new customer.
Shipping tracking Unique tracking number or code provided by the shipping carrier, which allows monitoring and tracing of the movement of the returned or shipped item throughout its journey.
SKU Unique identifier assigned to each individual product or item within a seller's inventory.
Title Name or description of the product being returned.
